Pupils from the College were joined by pupils from Chulmleigh Primary School, Lapford Primary School, Winkleigh Primary School and Morchard Bishop Primary School. We filled Heywood Hall with 100 musicians. Some of these pupils have only just started learning a musical instrument for this project and others are active members of elite Devon County Ensembles.

Each school had been practising and learning the parts for two specially commissioned pieces and our one-hour rehearsal time together allowed us all to fit our individual parts together.

We were pleased to welcome parents of our contributing primary schools to see the end results, and they were also entertained by our Chulmleigh College Woodwind Ensemble.

Many thanks to the team at Devon Music Education for working with us on this, and we hope to make this a regular event of bringing musicians of all ages and standards together.
