Midsummer Night's Dream

Our Year 10 GCSE Drama pupils have spent many weeks creating their version of Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream as part of the Shakespeare in Schools Festival. Pupils were thrilled to have the opportunity to demonstrate the culmination of all their hard work when they stepped on to the stage at the Barnfield Theatre, Exeter to perform in front of an audience of approximately 500 people.

"I enjoyed performing in front of an audience as one of my aspirations is to become an actor, and this gives me an insight into what it would be like. I enjoyed line learning, and it increased my confidence a lot, as I got to perform not only acting, but also both singing and playing the violin in front of about 500 people! It was nerve-wracking, but seeing everyone laugh at the jokes and appreciate our performance was worth it, and I wish I could do it again!” Betsy Lil, Year 10 pupil
