At Chulmleigh we teach the English Baccalaureate suite of subjects to all pupils. In 2022 our EBacc results (average points score) was amongst the best for non-selective schools in Devon and the South West. The Government's ambition is to see 75% of pupils studying the EBacc subject combination at GCSE by 2022 (Chulmleigh achieved 82% in 2022), and 90% by 2025.
The subjects are English, Mathematics, two Sciences, a Modern Foreign Language and Geography or History. We want all our pupils to leave us at the end of Year 11 with the English Baccalaureate because we see this as a challenging, rewarding and relevant spread of subjects that will give our pupils every opportunity in accessing the very best in further and higher education and the employment market.
We believe our pupils can achieve the very best and our curriculum reflects this.
